The three prong dryer cord matches the 3 prong outlet so I am good there, however I have no clue what to do with the three ring terminals. The handbook that came with the dryer doesn't include these instructions. The paper that came with the wire power cord doesn't tell me where to connect. I just can't find where to connect the 3 ring terminals on the back of the dryer.
I unscrewed a piece of metal to find where I could screw on the 3 eyelets. I did them in order with the neutral being in the center. The only wire I have is this wire plug, with the 3 prongs on one side and the 3 eyelets on the other. Is this a ground wire? Am I missing something?
I'm sorry, just to make it more clear, i wrote confusingly
the cord has the prongs on one end to plug into the socket and then the other end splits into the 3 eyelets. i'm thinking center of the 3 that is marked neutral is considered my ground wire? All three eyelets have been screwed tightly to the panels.
The center eyelet or wire is your neutral wire and the one that is most critical of the three wires which goes to the center terminal on the block on the back of the dryer. The left wire or eyelet goes to the left terminal and the right wire or eyelet goes to the right terminal. And when your done make darn sure the screws are definately very tight or you will have a big problem (wires will burn off from a loose connection).
