EL (Glow) wire - connecting to battery?
i need to know how to extend the wire that goes from the inverter into the cigarette lighter.
a) what wire would be best?
b) on the original wire, one side is dashed. is this negative or positive?
c) any tips on connecting the extended wire to the battery?
** any advice is greatly appreciated! **
p.s im going to add a switch between the battery and inverter.
The minus side should be the earth on a modern vehicle.extend the wires with the same gauge cable as supplied with the inverter, you should not encounter any problems.
When I did this to my own vehicle a wired directly to the battery but fitted an isolator switch between the battery and inverter.
