I want to get a stereo for my car so that i can plug my ipod directly into the stereo. today at bestbuy i learned a few things. that the aux does not charge the ipod and that it does not have that good of quality, but it is significantly cheaper than getting the USB plugin. Also the USB has to run under the dashboard and that just sounded kind of cumbersome and idk weird. is it worth the extra money to get the USB plugin, or is the quality good enough on the AUX? any experience or tips are appreciated.
USB would be better because that way you can listen and charge your ipod at the same time. With the AUX it sounds good when playing compared to the car adaptors that play over FM radio frequencies. It plugs into where your headphones go so it sounds like what you would hear if listening to your headphones. The only thing is that you'll need a car charger for your ipod as well just in case your battery gets low. If you don't mind more cords coming from you ipod... just go with the AUX if you don't want to spend the extra money on the USB.
