I currently have a 1200 watt Boss amp that is too powerful for any sub that i have put in so far. I am on my 4th sub. I have had three 10" sony xplodes, and one kole subwoofer. Luckily I have a warrenty on my subs and have been able too get them replaced for free, but I would much rather buy a sub that will last. I have a 2001 f-150, therefore any subwoofer suggestions must be able to fit. Thank you for your advice.

But in all seriousness, is that a RMS rating or Peak? if it is peak then you are putting out rated power of 600RMS. but let me explain something. 600 watts rms is a rating teh manufacture picks along the power band it can produce much more power with added distortion if you turn it up louder than that, and distorted power is harder on a sub than clean power. the fact that you have blown so many leads me to believe you are doing something wrong. first are the subs rated for the same power? you need a 600 watt RMS sub (see links below) also a subs power handling can be drastically reduced if in the improper box size. and a sub in a ported box will always hold less. for example kicker cvr's hold 400 watts in a ported box but 600 in a sealed box..that is a big difference, now put that same sub in a oversized ported box and you may only get 300... so make sure the box is made for the sub...there is nothing that is comparably priced to the sonys you been gettting that will handle the power see below for some that will.
