lighting on 89 cadilliac eldorado?
first question- if my headlight switch is bad will it make my low beams flash? it happens anywere from 5 min to 30 min before they flash and it is like a strobe light. if i turn the highbeams on they are fine. only when the lowbeams are on will they flash. car has twilight sentinal lighting. also the light on the dash that says "lights on" will flash while driving but nothing will happen when it flashes
2nd question- what would make my interior lights turn on and off when the car is shut off? examples the light in the car were off when i got home, within 5 min they were on then off then on then off they are continusly doing this as i watch. sometimes they will come on turn off and stay off but like tonight they just keep going on and off. this has happened about 20 times so far tonight. (i counted) the car never use to do it just started about a week ago. does anyone know why this is doing what it is doing?
the light switch just pops in the dash no wiring harnes to replace
I think your right the light switch is shorting out melting plastic on your switch connector can cause the intermitting operation or blinking of the lights cheange you switch and the plug on the harness good luck
