Hi, I have recently stripped the paint of a car which is parked on the driveway, I have done this before at this time of year on other cars and normally rust isn't a problem as the weather is just right to prevent it.
However now it is very humid and with the moisture in the air the car is starting to rust, it is covered in plastic sheets (though the car appears to be rusting more where the plastic is tight), and a waterproof cover over that.
It will be a couple of weeks until I can finish stripping it and have it painted so any ideas on how to prevent this rust.
The rust isn't bad and is just little spots which wash straight off but obviously this is a problem, any ideas on what to do would be a great help.
covering the car with plastic especially when its humid out, contains the chemical reaction that causes rust. Use a cloth cover or even no cover to allow the moisture that has built up to dissipate. Paint it as soon as possible.
