Is that right? I didn't use any clips or anything. I didn't see the point of using 8 gauge wire, just to use a tiny clip, then go down to 12 gauge wire. I was told it just looks bad because you can see the wire going into the door, rather then just connection to to shock wiring. You know what I mean?
I mean "Stock" wiring.
I am assuming that you are trying to connect front and rear speakers (6.5's, 6x9's etc..) Not subwoofer. You can use the stock/factory wiring so you don't have to run wire through the door jams and so on.
When you connect your new speakers (don't use factory speakers) you can use the factory wiring from behind the radio. All the speaker factory wires go behind the radio. Buy a radio harness and connect your speaker wire to this. Then you can run your speaker wire to your amp.
The amp will provide sound through the speaker wire to behind your radio to the harness, which is connected to your factory/stock wiring and then to your speakers. Don't forget to run your RCA cables (red and white cables) to your amp from radio.
