I want to have a combination security system-remote car starter-keyless entry system installed into my Acura TL. How much would the installation (labour) be? And how long would it take?
It all depends. Different brands cost different amounts. Different shops charge different amounts. I installed one on friends Firebird relitively easy. The kit was about $80 from Wal-Mart and is made by Bullydog security. And for some cars they make a "T harness" which makes the install a lot easier and quicker. You just wire the remote start to the T harness and the T harness clips between a wire connecter and the ECM, this also makes it easily removed. If you can wire a car stereo you can wire in one of these in my opinion. But if you don't want to mess with it I would just find local shops that will do it and how much it will cost. Good luck with that. And if your Acura is a standard, don't forget to bypass the neutral safety swith or actually the clutch switch. And don't ever forget and leave it in gear with one of these on a manual. Again good luck.
