Bare Escentuals and proActiv?
I just started ProActiv one week ago for my mild acne on my cheeks. It seems to be doing well, I didnt have it too bad, but one or 2 big ones, one after the other. And I have scars now on my cheeks. I heard good things about BE and just bought it yesterday and love it. it covers up my scars well and does feel light. I was wonderinf if anyone else uses the combo of ProActiv and BE. Any advice/comments? Do you think they will work together just fine?
Also- I bought 2 brushes, a foundation and concealer for $100!! Then I read about the starter kit. Should I return what I bought and buy a starter kit instead for $75 (at the store) (offered for $60 online)? It comes with 3 brushes, 2 smaller foundations, mineral veil, etc. or is it just not worth the hassle, esp since the foundations are smaller and there's no concealer?
Sorry its so long...thanks for your help! =)
I agree with the other comments that this is a really really good combination. I love the BE makeup. I hardly ever remember to wash it off before I go to sleep and it has NEVER irritated my skin.
I bought the starter kit from online, I like it alot. The two smaller foundations lasted me almost 3 months with light daily application and a handful of dates that I used it heavier. I only use two of the brushes that came with the kit. The concealer brush and the shorter stiffer bristled one (sorry I do know the names of them offhand.) I use the mineral veil all the time, it helps with not getting makeup on things that touch my face, and reduces shine on my forehead and nose.
I love the "blush" color that is in the kit, the warm color adds such a healthy tone to my skin. Also a small tub of "well rested" came with it that is wonderful for eye circles.
I do use almost everything that came in the kit. Just the one brush I do not use. It also came with a neat little compact that is great for on the go without having a huge mess with the loose powder. (I would not open it on your lap while wearing black or white still)
As far as the concealer goes, have you tried applying the foundation without it? I have alot of red blotches from being pregnant, and some acne scarring, and the BE foundation covers just fine without concealer. I use the "well rested" on one especially bad red area on my cheek, and then apply the foundation. It covers great and looks smooth.
I personally would return what you bought and get the kit. It also signs you up for a monthly delivery, which you can cancel and then just order what you need to replace or reorder the starter kit again later if you do not want things being sent every month.
