Is driving manual transmission take longer to start than Auto?
Like say a murderer broke into your house and you sneaked out and into your car which is manual and you have to do all those things and releasing the clutch off slowly and that and would it be longer to drive off than a auto transmission car?
I'd say it wouldn't take any longer if you were good at driving a car with manual transmission. The time it takes to depress and release a clutch pedal could be equivalent to the time it would take to move the shifter knob from park to drive on a auto car. If you were in a frightened state, I suppose you could be fumbling around with the pedal and cause the car to stall which would delay your escape. On the other hand if you did it correctly you'd really be able to burn rubber in first gear and get the heck out of there quite fast.
