What are some effective kicking combinations that start with a lead leg side kick (in English)?
Hi Ive Tried leading with the side kick and I want some kicks I can follow up with! Using the same front leg or rear leg that fits naturally and would work in a street fight!
The ones I can think of are side kick to knee/shin then same lead leg round kick to groin
Or side kick lead then rear leg shin kick
Can you give me some combos that follow up naturally/effectively from the lead side kick and put them into English

The problem with using a side kick to begin a combination is twofold. First, used as a stop-hit, a side kick will keep the opponent too far away for you to follow up without using footwork to move in. Second, the rebounding momentum from the kick, the "equal and opposite reaction" that Newton spoke of, tends to drive your knee across the front of your own body, which tends to turn your back towards your opponent. Because of this, I most often use the side kick either singly as a stop-hit or as the second move in a combination. However, here are some suggestions:
Side kick/spinning back kick
Side kick/spinning back fist
Side kick/back fist
Side kick/hook kick
Side kick/jab/cross
