im going to buy an hid conversion kit for an 06 Pontiac Vibe and was wondering what exactly i should get.
i've noticed alot of these kits say single beam and i want both high and low beam i want my lights to be bright blue, wondering if i should get 8000k or 10000k
and wondering what brand i should look for cause ive noticed they range on ebay from $19.99 - $179.99
don't do it... or if you do, pick a different color range.
here's why: headlights are tinted yellow for a reason. the longer wavelength is less "blurry" to our eyes. it's why aviator sunglasses are tinted yellow, and things look so crisp before sunset.
i swapped out my motorcycle headlight bulb with an ultrablue, and instantly regretted it. roads and signs lost contrast... tried to get used to it, thought it "made me more visible"; truth is it's just distracting. swapped back and went with yellow accessory fog lights instead. much easier on the eyes, and other drivers. better ways to see and be seen... blue HID is fashion over function.
