I have a Kicker ZX 750.1 that pushes 750@ 2ohms & 350@ 4ohms. I'm thinking about getting two 10" Kicker CVT10 that can handle 400/800. I want these subs because i have a custom made 350Z box that only has a total airspace of .75 cubic feet.
The subs are shallow mount, and they need a min of .8 cubic feet. Will this make a difference in sound? And i'm also looking for a good amplifer and door speakers. I've come up with the Rockford fosgate P163C & P162C the only difference between the two is the 163C's are 3 way and the 162C's are 2 way, I want to add a Kicker ZX 200.4 to power these since the speakers handle 8-50rms 100max and the amp pushes 50X4 2ohm and 100X2 bridged. Will the sub system drown the highs or does this sound like a pretty good setup

--Making the assumption that the box has .75 cu in per speaker, then YES the fact that the box is at .75 will make a difference. If you put kicker subs in a box that is smaller or the "MINIMUM" to there specifications you will not have any deep bass. You would be better off going to an 8 or another brand. My sugjestion is to look at rockford fosgate, infinity.
Now if the box has a total airspace of .75 and not .75 per speaker then you are better off getting 1x10 or possibly 2x8's.
Now to answer your question about the sub's drowning the highs is allot of personal preference. I personally have 1x10 (Infinity kappa perfect 10vq) pushing 300W RMS and a set of front components (Infinity Kappa Perfect) each receiving 75W RMS and my sub can easily drown out my highs and this is in a 3000gt. But this is also personal preference on what you like. In my opinion if you are going to go with 2x10's then definitely get 3 way speakers unless you want to spend some extra money and get some components. Personally in a car that small I would look for subs around 300W RMS if it is going behind your seat or 500W RMS if it is going in the trunk. Again this is personal preference
