I am a very proud owner of a 1992 Nissan Pickup and am currently trying to fix it up a little. My dad is trying to help me and when we remove the current radio there is a wire that is right there in the way. I have done some research online already and have found the Scosche Gn2200B Installation kit and their antenna converter. The only thing is we don't know how exactly they would work to help us install one of the car stereos that is currently on the market (we don't have one picked out, we are just curious if there is one that would work). Stereos are generally a standard size, unless you get a double stack. If you get a wiring harness you can make all the connections without cutting your vehicles wires which is most desirable. The harness will usually come with some wiring diagrams, but a stock stereo usually has labels on the bottom somewhere that tell you which wires are which by color. Generally black is ground, red is power, and blue is your control wire. The speakers are usually a solid matched to a similar color with a stripe. I'm not familiar with your kit specifically, but it should have a mounting plate included. The replacement will not attach exactly as the stock radio did, so be prepared for that. Also, make sure to connect the wires with butt connectors and not wire nuts, or tape alone. This will lead to a short that can damage your radio. If you are unsure about something, it is better so ask a specific question than to test it to see if it is right so you don't damage your new stereo.
