Which Amp Would Be Better?
I'm Pushing Two MA Audio MA151XQ Fifteens. Sealed Boxes. 2 Cu. Ft. Blah Blah. Both Wired Down To 2Ohm. I Was Thinking About Getting A Quantum Audio 1800 Watt Mono Block. 1Ohm Stable. Then I Thought About It, And I Looked Into MA Amps. So It's Between The Quantum Or An MA Audio 1600 Watt RMS 1Ohm Stable Mono Block. I Have To Have That 1Ohm Read If It's A Mono Block Amp. So, If You're Going To Answer This, Know What You're Talking About, Cuz If You Just Say Anything, I'll Call You On It. I Know My Stuff.
Each sub can only handle 450 watts RMS so why are you trying to over power them? Do you want them to blow?
Ideally you don't want to exceed the thermal limits by more than 10%.
If I were you, I'd look into CEA-2006 compliant amps that are around 900 watts RMS @ 1 ohm and wire the subs parallel-parallel.
