what are some quality speaker wire brands?
Plan on buying some on ebay. What are some good brands?
What gauge would you recommend for my 2400 watt amp?
Monster XLN 12 ga. I use it for all my subs (all six). And yes brand does make a difference. Just like power wire brands, the cheapo stuff will not make true to gauge wire as they will include the insulation in the gauge size. Also cheap wire may use a cheap mixture of copper and tin that tends to oxidize really quickly (like the green crap that builds up on your battery posts after a long time).
Going any higher than 12 gauge is just a waste unless you are running very long lengths of wire for some reason.
