Would power be lost to each subwoofer if i pluged two subs into the same port and they are both passive subwoofers? Also if no power is lost then could i put a passive sub with a powered sub both connected into the same port? And could each be different wattages?
IF you string two subs across the output, you wire in parallel. IF both speakers are same ohms, you halve the power to each, but increase the actual volume about 3 db IF the speakers are the same. (You do NOT double the sound). You can add all the powered subs to this you want without drawing discernable power from the passive sub. Amp inputs require almost no power to operate. It makes no difference what the wattages of each amped sub are, but....what are you trying to achieve here? IF all you want is boom, boom, boom, use a tuned port speaker and it will boom all you want at specific frequencies (that is why almost all rap is at the same key...the bass is the same, and booms at it center frequency...not the best sound you can get, but it certainly booms, if that is what you want.
