Really the only way to decide what speakers to buy is with your ears. Go to a retailer & do side by side sound comparisons of all the speakers in your budget's price range. Buy the one that sounds best to you.
You should take some CDs with music you are familiar with. At least one should feature female lead vocals, this is because some speakers excel in bass & highs, but have muddled mids.
What speaker sounds the best is subjective. What one person may think is a great sounding speaker, another person may think is a lousy sounding speaker.
