Best amp for single 12" Alpine Type R (SWR-1241D) subwoofer?
I have an older single 12" Alpine Type R sub, SWR-1241D, and it's in a Q logic non-ported box. I think it's a dual 4 ohm speaker. What's the best option for an amp? I want something cheap...probably will buy used. How would a rockford fosgate punch 501s do? Looks like the sub is 300W rms and 1000W Peak. The guy said it's a 2005 model w/ 500W rms, but it looks like the 300w rms version. Thanks!
if it is in fact the 300 watt rms version i believe this amp would be perfect...you could even wire that sub to a 2 ohm load
however id look on ebay for a much cheaper price maybe even a used one but $230 aint bad

its a dual 4 ohms so you have the option of wiring it to a 2 ohm load for more output also
