How do you tell apart the Cathode and Anode wires on a LED?
The wire coating is already stripped off. Both wires running out of it look exactly the same. I can't determine which is which. Is there any way to figure it out. I'm using the LED's for a mod on my wii classic controller.
If there is a "flat" edge on the circular led casing, it is usually negative (cathode) terminal side.
If you can "see inside" the casing, the "larger terminal" at the top of the lead is usually the cathode.
