ok so i had just changed my stock bulbs in my brake lights to led ones. they seem to work fine with everything except when i turn on my turn signals, both my front(stock) and my rear brakes lights blink very fast!! both sides!! however, when i put on my hazard lights, they blink with regular speed. anyone know a fix to this?? i want to keep my led's but thats very irritating the way they blink obscenely fast.
LED's don't require the same amperage as incandescent bulbs-if you can live with the faster blink,let it be-it won't hurt your car.the flasher works by the load placed on it-more load causes contacts to take longer to heat up and move to make contact.ther is actually a tungsten "arm " inside the unit that moves to flash the lights. the emergency flashers are on their own circuit so they are not affected by the change in lights-that noise you hear when you use your signals is this arm . to slow them down you can add a resistor in the t/s circuit on either side at the lights( a small bulb on either side will work) if you are remotely handy with a solder gun and heat shrink. you may have a time/expense issue for aftermarket parts. place the bulbs in series in the circuit.will increase load on flasher and slow it down
