Overall Subwoofer Help?
I'm having a HUGE problem coming across what I want with my subwoofer set ups. I've had a couple different set ups ranging from ported and sealed 10s and ported 12s.
I love loud loud loud deep bass. I also like clean tight bass.
Loud deep bass when I bumpin' rap like lil wayne or something I dont want to be able to breathe, however I like that clean tight bass when I got ANY form of rock playing. I want to hear the kick off the drum kit for that. Especially if I'm listening to hardcore or metal or something I want to feel those double bass hits.
I was thinking 2 or 3 12's or 2 or 3 15's. I do want to try to keep the wattage down as much as possible but I figure 1200-1500 should be fine.
I really dont know what to do anymore.
I drive a 1998 infiniti I30.
Any sub/amp/full setup ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I have had the same diverse problem with the music I listen to. I found sealed enclosure and staged subwoofer. for example the 13.5 jl audio sealed enclosure with a crossover point of 65 hrts and then the 12 sealed crossed at 30 to 80 then to not be over powering adjust sound with equalizer. For best sound I recommend alpine deck using sound processer a jl or alpine amp for your mid and tweeters. Then the jl slash mono block amps and subs as I described above. Not cheep but this is what IV done and have never been happier. I used Boston acoustic components in the doors. Your choice IV in vested 5000 in all and don't regret.
