Can I put a corvette engine in my 1994 chevy 1500?
My friend is selling his 1995 camaro which has a corvette engine in it along with a shift kit in the transmission. I was wondering if I can put the engine and the transmission in my 1994 chevy 1500?
Short answer...No!
The ignition systems are totally different.
You'd have to replace the radiator because LT1s revere flow and the hose locations are in the wrong spots.
The old TBI throttle body will have to go along with most if not all of the wiring harness.
To make an LT1 work in a pick up would take major modifications and cost a lot more than just buying the correct engine to start with.
If your willing to pull the harness and computer and have a lot of technical knowledge it can be made to work but your making a lot of work for yourself.
