Lg chocolate charger adapter vs iPod USB cord?
The charger for my lg chocolate 2 is basically a USB cable plugged into a wall plug. Does anyone know if there would be any adverse effects if I were to plug my iPod USB connection cable into this wall adapter and use it to charge my iPod?
In theory no - the power source is just supplying a standard usb charge. However i don't know if it will work - i tried this in the past and had 3 different brands of usb mains adapter and not one would charge my Ipod - none did any damage, they just did nothing. It could be a voltage thing or bad luck but as a USB wall charger costs about fiver and an Ipod wall charger costs about 5 times that, i assume that apple has either deliberately changed the charging current or chipped their charger so that you can only use their much more expensive one.
I doubt very much that you will cause damage, just don't hold out much hope.
