I have Cable internet; but I want to have wireless internet so that I can run the internet through my PS3.
But to do the wired connection my PS3 needs to be in my computer room, which would look stupid!
So I thought about installing wireless on my pc! But I already have Wired installed.
I am a cable tech who does internet and networking. and i also play ps3 online. All you need to do is go to a good electronics store ie. best buy and get a wireless router maybe $50 for a decent one. Make sure it is a wireless router with a ethernet slot that your modem plugs into and at least one ethernet slot that you can plug your PS3 into and get internet. most have these some even have 4 or 5 ports and some dont have any meaning they strictly do wireless. the only thing is you wll have to have your modem and router close enough to PS3 to plug it in. Then all you need is a wireless adapter , maybe $15 it is just a little piece that will plug into your pc via usb, for your pc to pick up that wireless and you will be ready. I dont know about the PS3 doing wireless it think it does though, so you have the option of swapping this setup and having the pc wired and the PS# wireless. Usually the wireless connection will be minimally slower and just a little less reliable
