I installed the HID kit without the harness for a couple of months and my friend said that it'll be better if I put the harness in since it draws electricity directly from the battery. Before I put the harness on, the lights were fine and when I installed the harness, it got brighter. Is this due to the wiring harness or something else?
after a few minutes of using hid without the relay the cables will get hot and create ohms so the energy will pass slow and less causing your headlights brite low
when you use the relay the cable who feed the hid will automatically change from one cable to another keeping the cables fresh and cool so more energy will pass by making your lights brite a lot more
you can connect the hid directly from the battery but you have to use a heavy wire so wont heat so easy and you don't need the relay, but relay is usefully because if something goes wrong relay will goes off and nothing happen is like a fuse
another thing is the battery only start the engine, when engines start the alternator do the job so replacing a battery with another one "more heavy" dont do a thing replace your alternator with a heavy one and you are done
