I have an 8 gauge +12v wire wired to the "bus bar" (because it is close than the battery) but it powers the green power light on and the blue crunch logo on, but when I wire it to the speakers it makes the speakers not produce any sound at all... when i disconnect the speakr wire from the stock speaker wire in the back of my deck, it works... just never when amped.
Maybe this is the reason... I mean not getting enough power because there are like 3-4 things on the bolt on the bus bar. Could it be trying to draw too much power?
Have you checked your ground? That alone will stop all energy flow to your speakers, the amp will still turn on just no sound to the speakers. I recently had to reground my 4 channel Crunch amp and that did the trick. Sometimes when I would hit a bump in the road the ground came loose and would have a bad ground connection to the chassis, reworked that and presto. Check the ground wire though, that could be the only thing wrong; not to mention it but it also sounds like it is what is wrong.
