Whats a Distribution Block and how is it used, do i need it?
I have a distribution block that someone gave me it has a 5 gauge power cable that goes to the fuse and a 9 gauge power cable to the amp but i don't understand or get how it works and do i need it. i have a rockford fosgate t1500-1bd amp using a 10 gauge power cable for right now which is bad to use cause its a smaller less thick cable right?
it is used to "distribute" the power
they are used when you are using multiple amps-- you will have your thicker wire coming from the battery to the trunk and run it into the distribution block and that will let you "branch out" with thinner wires
that wire is way too small for your amp and when you upgrade it you will hear a big difference
if using one amp the distribution block is not needed
