Alternate Universe (point of divergence)?
I read on Chinese Junks and basic Chinese Naval history for study. I have noticed, not only with the 4 great inventions (paper, compass, black powder, printing) they had some impressive ships then compared to Europe (compartments+ bulkheads, rudders, flexible sails, speed)
So i was wondering, had China kept going with Zheng He's voyages (they made an armada+ went discovering in the Pacific) instead of stopping it for economic reasons, would things have come out different?
Would "the sun never set" and pink world maps belong to China?
Would the 15th century instead become the "Asian Age of Discovery"?
Would the Europeans have resisted with their WMDs of explosive power?
I know at least the New World would have turned out different. What's your take on history?
I think the if China's voyages of discovery continued it would've controlled The East Indies/ Spice Islands. There'd be Chinese people all over the Pacific and Indian oceans. There'd be Chinese City states across the Indian Ocean and perhaps even in India and Africa
