Got me on the fuse... You could probably go without one through the distro box if your wiring is safe. Maybe a 20-amp at each output... Most components come with a fuse in the power line. It would be safest to keep those in place and just use high value fuses (20-30 amp) at the distro outputs to mainly protect against short-circuits in the wiring. Adding the value of component fuses on each circuit and adding a little overhead should work fine.
Power won't "pull back" through the line... LOL!!! If any component is hooked up in a way where the capacitor is bypassed... It's bypassed... It has no effect. This ain't plumbing!!!
I assumed (probably wrongly) this distro box would be mounted near the battery.... If not, Sparky is correct... You should have a fuse nearer your battery. Using 1 fuse before the box would be simpler. Using a lower value at each output would be safer if the wiring between the box and battery was short and heavy-duty, and would simplify troublshooting if a fuse were to keep blowing.
