Ok, i bought a car alarm, installed -works great!.. bought a devide to attach to alarm for remote central locking.. have wired necessary wires except door wires. Reason - IT states in the "manual" this:
I know its not pneumatic, (its a ford escort 96 UK). - But how can i tell if its central locks are earthed switch type or positive switch type? theres 6 wires in there and i dont have a multimeter to test with. The device in question is a SparkRite SR911 CENTRAL LOCKING INTERFACE.
Hi there if you bought new alarm the instructions should give you a help line number to call all you need to do is tell them make and model the they will tell you which switched system. if not then locate you wiring. two of the wires are usually thicker than the rest these are the open and locking wires.bare a bit of wire off the two thicker wires and run two wires from your battery. one positive , one negative. put positive wire on one wire and negative on other see if this opens locks or locks car once you have found out which wire opens lock from positive feed then your instructions should tell you your system jock
