wrt160n running slow?
When I connect the internet modem direct to the computer, I get really fast speed and no timeouts.
When I connect the internet modem to my router, then hard wired to my computer, I get all kinds of results. Sometimes it's fast, then the browser times out, then I can't get no signal .... etc. I think it may be something with my settings ???? Any advice ?
First of all unplug your internet modem for about 30 seconds (that's the power. Then also unplug your router for about the same amount of time.
You don't need to unplug anything else but the power connections. This will reset everything in your modem and router.
Then plug everything back in again and you should be set to go.
Now if this is a new install, then you will have to configure your router. If has been working fine, the above Information should work.
