Will this speaker set up work in my car?
I have a small question. I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra GLS and I was wondering if this speaker set up would work.
I have an aftermarket Kenwood head unit, a wiring harness and install kit, aftermarket Kenwood 6x9s, front factory component speakers, a Kenwood sub, and a kicker 4 channel amp.
Is there a way I could have the amp power the back speakers and the sub but still have the front speakers work and play as well?
The fronts are very good for factory speakers and produce highs awesomly, but the backs and the bass are lacking. This is why I wish to do it this way.
if you don't want to buy another amp for the sub, I would wire the speakers to the head unit and bridge the amp to the sub alone. That way all 4 speakers are getting the same amount of power and you can play with the fade and balance to tweek it the way you like. Plus your amp should have a high and low pass filter. with a sub hooked up you want only low notes going to it.
