I'm hooking up 2 amps in my jeep I need help?
ok I got a jl audio g1700 and a j2 320. both require 4 awg power/ground. I've had the g1700 for a while and I just ran 4 awg wire. should I change it out with 2 awg wire then get a distribution block and use 4 awg out. or should I run a 2nd 4 awg wire from my battery to my 2nd amp? which would be the cheapest/ most efficient way? and if i just ran 4 awg in and 4awg out on the distribution block would that be bad?
4awg should be fine for both amps. Run it up to a distribution block then run either 8 or 6awg for the 4-channel amp and 6awg for the subwoofer amp. Good luck!
