Automotive Speaker Cable
Just bought new speakers(for 1992 dodge dakota) and know not what to do?

yep im stuck, like the speakers, i bought 4 door speakers, 2 back, and 2 side(small round ones) but i was wondering how to put them in? they have been sitting where i left them for a couple months now and im getting pissed that people can make a killing charging 100$ or even 200$ to install them, the cheapest i saw was 20$ per speaker but i aint trying to pay money for something i will never learn, so can somebody help me? im ignorant when it comes to automotive and cant even disconnect the negative cable from the battery...
where do i start?

It is pretty easy. I haven't done it on a Dakota but I have on a couple of cars. You have to remove the door panel. They sell a door panel removal tool at just about any auto parts store.
Basically, remove anything on the panel that is screwed into place. Then start prying the panel off with the tool. You may have to unplug a few things like the power windows and locks if so equipped. Once the panel is off, the speakers should be visible. Just remove the screws and unplug the old speaker. You will probably have to purchase some quick-connects to go on the new speaker for the wires. For some strange reason, original equipment usually have a different size than aftermarket ones. After that, just plug everything back in, screw everything back together and start rock and rollin.
