What are good crossovers ?
I have a kicker kx 650.4, pushing 2 Kicker 6x9's [100 wrms each] and two 4 inch tweeters in front. I thnk they are like 80 wrms each . I had 2 audiopipe cossovers in front before, but they made the amp shut off at high volumes. the amp pushes 120 wmrs per channel at 4 ohms . Any good crossovers i can use ? Also , would a passive crossover do better for me, or an active crossover ? thankss !
Usually an active cross-over is considered to be better because you have more control and can customize the sound on a passive cross-over you are pretty much stuck with what you get..Audio Control has a large selection of cross-overs in all price ranges, you want just one cross-over with 4 to 6 way control it may be because the two cross-overs you have are interacting with each other that your system shuts down... also Sound Stream makes some good ones; if you really want to go high tec then Hybrid Audio but they are way too expensive...
