What amp kit and what gauge speaker wire do i need?
I have 2 boss CW107DVC 10“ sub dual 4ohm voice coils and a LANZAR VCT2310 3000watt 2 channel High power MOSFET amp. And i have a pair of Soundstorm 200watt 4x10’s.
Any brand amp kit will do. Wire is wire for the most part in car audio and you only pay for the name. You will need 4 gauge wire for that setup.
Fuku buys into marketing gimmicks lol. The amount of voltage loss from lets say OFC wire to non OFC is so small that you won't notice anything. Fuku is right about companies sometimes lying about the true gauge of their product but that has nothing to do with the wire itself. And 2 gauge for amps of that calibre is just plain ludacris. You did attack me by saying wire is not wire with an exclamation mark unlike what the other poster stated when it really is. All that garbage about OFC etc is bogus and is just a marketing gimmick to get your money and gauge has nothing to do with that statement. Hook up an amp using cheap ass wire and then use expensive wire. The Human ear will not notice a difference. You are saying that the amp will put out 3000 watts and that you need 2 gauge. WTH? Who goes by max watts? lol. You are so full of it you don't have a clue. It's halarious. That amp will draw no more than 100 amps which equates to about 900 rms watts. It's a class AB and is not very efficient. For 900 rms and a normal run of power wire you will need 4 gauge to be safe. You could even get away with 8 gauge. 2 Gauge is far too big for a 100 amp draw. You are most definitely unfounded and should not give false advice. Suck it up princess and yes I do want to bite myself. ( sarcasm ) WTH? Oh and I think that you need to do more reasearch before you should be allowed to post answers.
